I know I’ve moved on from the winter theme, so this photo doesn’t really count–but I wanted to share what our little house looked like this morning after we had an unprecedented THREE FEET of snow dumped on us in an overnight blizzard. My car is literally buried way over the roof. We couldn’t open our back door and had to force the front one open to get out, upon which we sank to our hips in snow. We are still in the process of digging through a four foot drift to get to our woodpile, which, itself is also completely buried. Our picnic table can’t be seen. We live on a main road, so it’s been marginally plowed, but the side roads are still covered by 3-4 feet of snow. Down by Paper Goods Pond, one of the big town plows is stuck in a huge drift. We’ve lived here since 1981–we’ve never ever seen anything like this!
