Winter: OMG, three feet of snow!

Winter: OMG, three feet of snow!

I know I’ve moved on from the winter theme, so this photo doesn’t really count–but I wanted to share what our little house looked like this morning after we had an unprecedented THREE FEET of snow dumped on us in an overnight blizzard. My car is literally buried way over the roof. We couldn’t open our back door and had to force the front one open to get out, upon which we sank to our hips in snow. We are still in the process of digging through a four foot drift to get to our woodpile, which, itself is also completely buried. Our picnic table can’t be seen. We live on a main road, so it’s been marginally plowed, but the side roads are still covered by 3-4 feet of snow. Down by Paper Goods Pond, one of the big town plows is stuck in a huge drift. We’ve lived here since 1981–we’ve never ever seen anything like this!

That looks like the Wolf Paw Prints leading into Grandma’s House. Be Careful Red Riding Hood!

I know what this year’s Christmas card should have on the front! Your little house is very photogenic, from what’s visible that is.

Wow that is a lot of snow – hope you are keeping safe and warm. However, it is a great photo and would make a superb Christmas card.

YIKES! Although the snow is very picaresque, I can not imagine how long and how hard it will be to clear away.

Beautiful! This is one that you’ll be looking at years from now… whenever anyone says, remember the storm of ’13!

I haven’t been following the blogs regularly lately but since nobody at Elements Village seems to have posted any storm photos, I thought I’d come out and check the blogs. Voila! Yours was the first I came to and I found an abundance of snow. Hope things are back to normal for you now, Bobbie. This is a fab photo….

  10. Wow three feet of snow! We were lucky this time and only got 5 inches. Hope all is well.
