Spring: Magnolia

Spring: Magnolia

It was a wicked winter that didn’t want to let up. It’s be cold for way longer than it should have been. Flowers that usually would have bloomed a month ago just erupted…and erupted is not a bod word. Erupted, exploded, burst into life! Spring in Connecticut is always a lovely, welcome season–soft colors, soft air. But I don’t every remember seeing the flowering trees as full and rich and exuberant as they have been this year.

OMG, this is such a luscious photo! Makes me wish we could grow magnolias here! Helps to make that long winter bearable if you can look forward to these. I like the view from the side and back of these blossoms with their beautiful variegations.
