Shades of Grey: Harbor

Shades of Grey: Harbor

This is the view from Flying Mountain in Acadia National Park. Note that it is NOT converted to B&W! Halfway through our trip, someone let the Weather Gods know that we were camping, so we had quite a bit of rain on our way back home. It poured the one full day we were at Acadia, so we couldn’t do much. We lingered the next morning in the hopes of taking a hike. It was overcast and with some spitting rain, which actually played up the lights and shadows if the harbor.

I spent nearly every weekend over a two-month period in Bar Harbor one summer many years ago… and I don’t think I ever saw the sun shine! It’s a beautiful photo and I’m glad you told us that it is not a black and white photo!

I like the miniature-ized look and feel accomplished here – thank goodness for camping gods lol!

Soggy camping would not be a favored activity, but we do have to take what Mother Nature gives us. You did make the most out of the dreary weather with an awesome capture in Mother Nature’s true shades of grey.
