Art/Music: Carillon

Art/Music: Carillon

Every Wednesday in the summer, we got to the carillon concerts at Trinity College in Hartford. Once each season, when Dan Kehoe plays, it’s Open Tower night. Anyone can climb the 100+ spiraling stair and then a ladder to watch him pound–with amazing delicacy–on the keyboard that rings the bells even further overhead.

Wonderful composition and black and white toning to bring out the detail.

Good exercise and music…sounds like a win win situation! Love the tones!

How exciting to be able to go inside the tower. We have one here also open one day a year to “Members” only (shucks) but I do enjoy walking through the gardens while the Carillon is being played.
