Upside down: Butterfly

Upside down: Butterfly

Here in New England, it’s been one of the coldest winters on record, and February has been one of the snowiest. No respite in sight for March. And so it is a blessing to go to the annual Flower Show in Hartford, where one can see hear running water, and see flowers of all colors, and smell moist earth, and feel the softness of grass and leaf. There is also always a box full of butterflies like this one, which was clinging upside down to the glass.

I can only imagine how miserable all that cold would be, nice to be able to find somewhere to go for some respite. Colour in any shape or form would be a welcome sight.

Love the sunshine color in his wings and echoed in the reflection.

LOVE the mirrored image…this is too fun and not your normal butterfly picture!

    She’s a beauty!

  7. A great capture with the reflection.

  8. great reflection. The winter has been quite the opposite here. Almost no snow and quite warm. But, as we saw spring coming there is always a backslash and today it snows heavily…. totally unnecessary if you ask me
