Steam Heat: I can’t get warm

Steam Heat: I can't get warm

This March has been one of the coldest on record. We have lived here since 1981, and NEVER has Paper Goods Pond been iced over in March. This photo was taken on March 15. Three years ago at this time, we were kayaking on it! We usually have daffodils and forsythia and even early tulips by now; trees should be budding and grass greening. But so far, there isn’t even a hint of a crocus. It’s getting a bit demoralizing.

You can still kayak, just put on outriggers and attach skates to them – Get with the programme!

The snow is finally melting here, but the blasted weatherman said flurries are coming tomorrow. What happened to warm spring rain?

The crisp details really enhances how cold it was! I am shaking! 🙂

  4. Great match of theme and photo!

One would think this was a glacial scene from out west, hope the ice has melted by now and spring is springing.

It IS a gorgeous scene but winter is best only in small doses…I frankly have had enough for this year! It IS difficult to keep one’s spirits optimistic but at least the light levels are noticeably increasing.

GREAT sky! Your perspective is perfect on this shot – just pulls me in. Well, in for a look, not “in” enough to brave that icy water!!
